Putting my creative energy to work during a pandemic & social distress

The last week has got me thinking a lot about my privilege, living, and working without the fear of losing my life due to the color of my skin. Confronting and eliminating my implicit biases has been something that I’ve worked hard on since leaving the bubble of home.

The past few days I have honestly felt frozen on how to help, debating within myself what the “right” way to post about this. I am still definitely struggling on a decision, but doing nothing will not help move the needle towards progress.

Help me put my art to work. Through the month of July, I will be donating 75% of my sales to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to provide assistance in opposing racism, police brutality, and providing assistance during the COVID pandemic.

Help me continue contributing to organizations of progress.

At the start of the pandemic, I began painting nature scenes as my sort of brush therapy. I used the painting sessions to focus on the beauty of nature and attempt to get lost in my paintings. My hope is that I translated what I was seeing into something positive for you, the viewer.
